Grandkids scrapbook pages

It is no secret to anyone who knows me. I LOVE M&M's!! My daughter bought her kids these shirts on clearance and took this picture for me. I love it!!
So of course, I scrapped it right away! The background paper is just white cardstock and I stamped the candies all over it. Then I put strips of ribbon in the colors of their shirts. I think it turned out ptretty cute.
Then she also gave me a picture they had taken of the four of them.

Sorry about the glare. I used DCWV Generation Tech stack for the background paper.
I added some Tim Holtz Adage tickets and some funky buttons. The notebook paper journaling spot is one I had in my stash. I punch the side with ek success punch and ruffle up the edges like it was torn out of a notebook. I like the way this one turned out too.
I almost forgot to post the Valentines Day card I made my husband.

this was made completely with the Stamp TV true love kit and stampin up ink. I thought the plaid looked a little more masculine even if it does have pink in it!!
Well, that is all for today. Please leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012 February

Tim Holtz is doing 12 Tags of 2012. This is my interpretation. I don't have all the same supplies as him, but I made do with what I have.
You can see his here http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2012/02/12-tags-of-2012-a-new-direction.html
Let me know what you think!

Look what I got in the mail!!

I came home from work Friday and saw a box on my porch and I thought, what is that? I didn't order anything that big! The return address said it was from my aunt who lives in California and I don't see very often. I opened the box and this is what I found!
Isn't it beautiful? I was SO SURPRISED!! I knew she made stuff like this because I had seen some she sent to my Grandma. I think it is just gorgeous. Too bad I don't make my bed very often!! I might put it on the bed in the guest room where it can be displayed all the time.  I made her this card to say thank you.

I am just shocked still. I had no idea it was coming!
Now I have another family keepsake!

2 new cards

I haven't been doing very much crafting but I am feeling the mood again. Last night I made 2 cards and I thought I'd share. This first one I made wth some images a fellow blogger, Okie, (I am sure you all know her!) shared with me. And I have to admit, I stole her sentiment too!

I love it! I took them to work to show people and someone bought this one!
This is the other one I made.

I think I am going to work on some more tonight. Maybe I'll play with my Imagine and see what I can come up with!
Thanks for looking!

Work gift exchange

We drew names at work and I got Kelli. I was happy because she is the co-worker I know the best. When I asked her what she wanted, she told me to make her something.
So this is what I came up with.  Her living room is burgundy and black with silver accents.I bought an unfinished frame at Hobby Lobby for about $3.
I also bought some Christmas picks with berries at 66% off. I had the thick stickers that my mom bought me for a quarter at Big Lots.

I painted the frame black and misted it with some homemade glimmer mist. I think it turned out cute.
Then I found this yummy apple cinnamon scented candle at WalMart for $1. (gotta love  the after Christmas clearance)
The right color just too plain. So I cut some snowflakes out of vinyl and dressed it up a bit

Then I had to get her a Hobby Lobby gift card since I only spent about $6 so far. I saw these super cute pop up gift card holders on Cardz TV.

We had the exchange on January 1st and she loved it all!
Thanks for coming to visit me today.I am really going to try to post more regularly this year!

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow! I cannot believe I haven't posted anything since November 7th! It has been a VERY BUSY HOLIDAY SEASON AT OUR HOUSE. aND, TO TELL THE TRUTH, i AM KINDA GLAD THEY ARE ALL OVER NOW. tHINGS CAN GET BACK TO NORMAL! Oops, didn't mean to have caps lock on and I am not rewriting this!
I hope everyones holidays were full of love and joy. Ours were great. One daughter got engaged. So another wedding will be coming up!
My oldest son got married August 27, 2011. I am getting ready to start on their wedding album. I had so much Christmas stuff going on, I didn't want to rush through it or just throw it together. This is going to be my BIG project this year and I really want it to be my best work yet!
I have a few pictures to share of some Christmas presents my husband and I made this year.
I made this santa can for my daughter. Inside was a gift card to her favorite hair salon.

I made this sign for another daughter who  has been looking for something to put on the wall in between her kids and her stepkids pictures. I thought this saying was great for that. Then they got engaged so it is even more perfect!!

My husband made this for me. I have to paint the unfinished edges still but I couldn't wait to put my machines on it.  I got the directions from a Cricut Message Board member. I think it turned out great. And it only cost $8 for the board!!

This is the only other crafty thing I got from my family. A Tiny Attacher! I mentioned it to my daughter a month or so ago and I cannot believe she remembered!!
Tomorrow I will post the gifts I made for our gift exchange at work.
Thanks for visiting me!!

Cute November calendar page

I have been making calendars for Christmas gifts. I make one for me, each one of my kids (6), and one for my mom. I try to make them all different but sometimes it is hard. And when I make a page I like, it is just easier to recreate it for the others! This is one I think I will be using on atleast a couple of them.
I used CardzTV stamps and stamped all over the background page. (I scanned it so if I decide to use it again, it will be easier!) Then I cut the turkey from Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge. I colored him with Bic Markers and added google eyes. I also couldn't resist putting him on an action wobble. So cute!! I chose the orange ribbon from Hobby Lobby to add a pop of color to the page. I really like ths one.
I made this wall decor item for my daughters laundry room. She just moved in to a place where she has her own laundry facilities. I bought a chalkboard from JoAnns and used white vinyl and Word Collage Cricut cartridge. I hope she likes it!

Look what I found at Dollar Tree!

They are pretty small. About 7"x7". All my daughters like mini things. Everything small is cute!! So I am going to start looking for things to put in the boxes. Sometimes there are some cute miniatures in Christmas ornaments, so I will start there. I will probably post one when I get it done. (if I like the way it turns out)
Well, it is time to get ready for work. Thanks for looking!
