Cute November calendar page

I have been making calendars for Christmas gifts. I make one for me, each one of my kids (6), and one for my mom. I try to make them all different but sometimes it is hard. And when I make a page I like, it is just easier to recreate it for the others! This is one I think I will be using on atleast a couple of them.
I used CardzTV stamps and stamped all over the background page. (I scanned it so if I decide to use it again, it will be easier!) Then I cut the turkey from Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge. I colored him with Bic Markers and added google eyes. I also couldn't resist putting him on an action wobble. So cute!! I chose the orange ribbon from Hobby Lobby to add a pop of color to the page. I really like ths one.
I made this wall decor item for my daughters laundry room. She just moved in to a place where she has her own laundry facilities. I bought a chalkboard from JoAnns and used white vinyl and Word Collage Cricut cartridge. I hope she likes it!

Look what I found at Dollar Tree!

They are pretty small. About 7"x7". All my daughters like mini things. Everything small is cute!! So I am going to start looking for things to put in the boxes. Sometimes there are some cute miniatures in Christmas ornaments, so I will start there. I will probably post one when I get it done. (if I like the way it turns out)
Well, it is time to get ready for work. Thanks for looking!

The moon for your birthday

My brother and I have a birthday card war going on. This year he sent me one about picking his nose and I was looking for the perfect one for him. I found it at
http://disguisedasagrownup.blogspot.com/2011/10/feeling-somewhat-cheeky-today.html
Marlene always has some great images and sentiments. I just love her warped sense of humor!! Here is the front of his card:
And the inside:

I put her on am Action Wobble so she really shakes her butt at him! I think it turned out really cute and I know he will love it!

Goosebumps gift bag

My granddaughter loves Goosebumps books. I usually get her one on her birthday and Christmas. Her birthday is next month and I got her one of course! I decorated this gift bag using Mini Monsters cartridge. It is a big bag for one paperback book but I thought she could use it to store al her Gosebumps books in.  Then when her colection outgrows it, I can make more for her. I hope she likes it!

a couple of Halloween cards

I finally got done 2 of the 5 Halloween cards I need. I got some Bic markers and I had fun coloring this one
Isn't she a cute little witch? It is a digital stamp and I have no idea who it came from, but I think she is adorable!
This one I used my Celebrate with Flourish lite cartridge. Not such a cutesy witch but I still like it.
Now I have to get busy on the other 3!!

Riddle books/ Christmas gifts

I have 10 grandkids (including the step kiddos) and it is getting harder to come up with ideas for things to make them. I found this blog called 24/7 Moms and every day they have Table Talk where they give a subject to discuss at the dinner table and a riddle. I started collecting all the riddles and when I ahd enough, I started making these little books for 3 of the grandkids. I made 6x6 pages and printed each riddle and cut into a strip to fit on the page. Then I added cricut cuts to embellish the riddle. I think they turned out really cute. Each book has 20 ridlles.

I designed the cover in Design Studio and cut it out with vinyl then applied it to the front cover. Bound it with my Bind it All and added ribbons to the binding.
Here are a few of the pages

I have 2 done and one more to go. This has been a fun project. I used some of my rarely used cartridges and alot of my scraps! Plus I got some Christmas presents done!!

Birthday party invitations

My husbands 50th birthday is the 28th of October so we are having a huge party on Saturday, the 29th. I had to make 100 invitations. Which will probably be too many but we have a very large family and lots of friends. I want lots of people there so I am inviting EVERYONE we know!
I cut all the pieces and my daughter came over and helped me assemble them. It took about 4 hours and my back was killing me but we got em done!!
Most of them I will hand deliver but there are quite a few I have to mail so I better get busy addressing them!! Ugh! I hate my handwriting! Oh well, hopefully nobody will look too closely at the envelope!!
These were alot of work so I sure hope my husband appreciates it!!

Halloween Display

Wow! It has been a long time since I posted anything. I have been busy crafting. Just didn't take the time to share. Sometimes I think I spend more time looking at other peoples blogs than I actually do crafting!
Anyway, here is my Halloween display. I have a deep ledge on this window in my living room. I used to have plants there but I killed them all! LOL. So I now decorate it for holidays. I used some empty liquor bottles. I work in a bar/restaurant so it was easy to get different shaped bottles without having to drink it!!
I put colored water in the clear glass bottles. I used Happy Hauntings and Once Upon a Princess for the labels and ran them through my Xyron for the adhesive.
I cut a bunch of fall colored leaves from various cartidges, wrinkled them up and added stickles to the edges. Then I went to Dollar Tree (my favorite store) and bought the bugs and pumpkins. The hay is from Hobby Lobby which is right next door to my Dollar Tree. (Is that great or what !?!)
This is the whole display. Not too much but it does add the Halloween feel!

I have been making fall wreaths

OK, I am back in my wreath making mood. I made this one with some Stampin' Up papers I won on a blog from Wendy. Random buttons from my stash and a wreath I got at Hobby Lobby a long time ago. The ribbon was from Dollar Tree last year.
This one was inspired by (copied from) Sarah from Rink Cricut. I used some fabric remnants I had laying around.

Then I made this one for my daughter who is coming tomorrow for her birthday. She always admires mine and I sometimes give them to her so I made her one.

this one was super cheap to make but I think it is lovely. I got all the flowers and leaves from Family Dollar for about $3 and the wreath base from Dollar Tree for $1. Super inexpensive birthday gift!!!
Hope you enjoyed my wreaths. I need to get ack ro work on my Christmas gifts!!

One Christmas present done!

My son and his wife hae Papillon dogs and they are starting to breed them. The Mommy dog, Athena had her first pups in June. She had 6. 4 girls and 2 boys. The boys died after 2 days but the girls flourished. They are so cute! They sold them all. I decided to make a mini album for them of the pupies. There will be more but I wanted to document the first batch. Sorry the pictures are terrible!  I need a new camera. It has to be the camera (can't be the photographer, right?)
Here is the front cover
This page is the Mommy, Athena and the Daddy, Icarus (Icky)

The next page is the puppies on the day they were born. June 13, 2011

The next 2 are of them nursung and sleeping. That is all they did for a long time!

Then they started to play with each other.

These are just random cute ones

Then, I got pictures of when my mom got to meet her puppy, Micah.

I hae a mirrored closet door in my living room. The puppies were looking at themselves in it. ALL of my grandkids have played with "the baby in the mirror" I guess my grandpuppies like to do it too!

We put Micah in the box we made for cards at my sons wedding. She would make such a cute present!!

And that is it! I think it turned out super cute and I am pretty sure they will like it! Now, on to the million more gifts I have to make!! Thanks for stopping by and looking at my creation.

Wedding day!!

Yesterday was my sons wedding. They had the wedding outside at a park and the weather was beautiful. Not too hot and just a slight breeeze. Although, I did manage to get a sunburn on my chest. But my dress was pretty low cut. Those areas haven't seen the sun in years! This picture is me, my son Nick, my mom, my grandma and my other son the groom and his bride.
We took alot of pictures before the wedding. Then we had a two hour break. I came home and put my camera on the charger so it would have fresh battery for the whole night and went to the wedding with it still on the charger!!! I was so upset!  But, my sons step mother took about 600 pictures and she said she will give me a disk with them all. And, the good thing is, she took alot with me in them that I wouldn't have had from my camera! My husband is not in these because he was home roasting the hog for the reception meal. It was very good. Poor guy stayed up all night cooking it.
This is what a 200lb hog looks like on the cooker! Looks disgusting but tasted god!

The bride and grooms first dance. That is when I started to tear up!
Then the grom and his mother. That is where I really lost it. The song was peerfect. I don't remember the name of it but it was all about a mother and son and him growing up. I was a blubbering mess! My son even cried. Which, then made it worse for me to try to hold it together!!
One last picture of the newly weds!

I wish rthem all the best that life has to offer and I am impatiently waiting for grandkids! Thanks for looking!

Box for cards- wedding reception

This is the box I made for cards at my sons wedding reception on Saturday. I like it. I think it turned out very nice even though I couldn't find the paper I wanted. Don't you just hate when you can picture it in your head but can't find it anywhere?

Here are some close ups of the details

Where did these come from??

This evening, my husband spotted these in our backyard.

We have no idea where they came from. They just popped up in the last few days. They weren't there the other night. We have lived here 13 years and never had these before. WEIRD!! But pretty!
