Craft room reveal

OK, as promised, here is my "new" craft room. It is not completely  done. I still have a few things to finish but I really like the way it is coming along.
this is my desk and things I use most and want in arms reach.
On this shelf in the binders and in the drawers is where all my stamps and stamping supplies are.
this is the opposite wall where all my paper is stored
and here are my cricuts and cartridges. This works very well. I love it.
and this is looking into the other side of the room where my sewing machine and computer are.
this is the fabric I picked for the windows. When I get around to sewing!!
we put in a new light fixture. It is SO much better. Lots of light. I have vision problems so I need it!
I have the Cricut Everyday cartridge and I am going to put lots of the word art from that cart all over the walls. I have bought lots of that pink vinyl so I better get cutting!
So, I used all the same furniture and layout. Just refreshed it (I love the paint job so much better than the blah grey with holes in the walls!) This room is now more "ME". The whole thing, including light fixtures cost about $150. Not bad for a complete transformation. The next big project is going to be tearing up the carpet and putting down tile. Probably not for awhile. I am really not looking forward to hauling everything out again!!
Thanks for peeking at my space. I have a really cute card to show tomorrow.

Craft room make over

I finally got my dark dreary craft room painted. Here are some before pictures
The sewing machine was not always there but the wall iy was on had some holes in it (thanks to my son, who used to live in this room) so, to repair the holes, I had to move it but you can get the idea of what a jumbled up mess it was
this is a ciew looking into that part of the room. That is the smaller part. The larger main part of the room is where my cricut and work desk are
the south wall. Holds all my paper, cricuts, cartridges and other small stuff
this is the north wall where my work desk is and my stamps.
I had to take everything out and there was crafting stuff EVERYWHERE in my house! Even the bathroom!
A ton of work but so worth it! These are the colors I chose. My husband and my son think they are ugly but every FEMALE I have shown it to likes it!

Tomorrow I will show you the painted room.  Thanks for visiting today!

Punch storage

I kept all my punches in a box. I don't have THAT many but it was a pain to find the one I was looking for. So, after seeing this storage idea on several blogs, I got this over the door cloth shoe holder
Than, I punched a sample of each punch and stapled it to the pocket.

I can fit two or three punches in each pocket. Now I have lots of empty poakets so I guess I will have to buy more punches!!

I have decided to sell my Gypsy. I have never used it to cut anything. I loaded all my carts on it and it just sits there. I want $150 for it. shipped. It DOES NOT come with the physical carts. I have over 100 carts linked to it. If anyone is interested, let me know. I need the money to buy more punches!! LOL

a couple of cards

I made these 2 cards this morning. The first one is for my granddaughters birthday on Wednesday. She will be 10. Gosh, where has the time gone?

I used A Childs Year cricut cart for the ice cream cone and Scrappy Moms Kids Incorporated stamp set.

I know the picture is terrible. I got a new camera, that also does videos, it was great. But then I put it in my purse and the screen shattered. It still takes good pictures but I cannot see what I am taking a picture of. I got it on HSN with flex pay and I am not even done paying for it yet!!!!! Very expensive lesson for me!
This next card is for my brother who just got a new place to live. I used My Creative Time's Home Sewn stamps and a key charm I had in my stash. I tried to make it kinda masculine looking. I always have trouble with that, but I think this simple one works for a single man.
These pictures are TERRIBLE! I am going to have to get a new camera (after I finish paying for the broken one) But, trust me, the cards are so much cuter in person!!
Thanks for visiting today. I have an anniversary card to work on now!

Sponge dauber storage

I love using sponge daubers to ink the edges of my projects. It was getting hard to store them and know which color was on which dauber. I saw on a blog someone labeled them with the name of the ink and then I found some holders on Ebay. I now have three holders. One for Stampin Up colors and one for Distress Inks and another one for misc. inks I have. Each holder can hold 40. If  I keep up with my Stampin Up addiction, I will need one more. Oh, and the holders also come with Stampin Up inks listed on a grid so you know where each one is. I made a blank one for the other inks I have. I love them!!

Here is the seller on Ebay that has these-

Hello...Is anyone still there?

Wow! Did I ever have problems with this new blogger thing. I think I finally got it figured out! I made some Easter Treat boxes last night.
they turned out so cute!
We have been doing an Easter Egg hunt in our backyard for the grandkids for about 5 or 6 years now. Well, now the grandkids are 11,11 (twins), 10, 9, 8 3,2 and 2. The older 5 are getting kinda bored with it so I decided to do something different for them this year. We are going to have a treasure hunt! If it turns out the way I am thinking, it will be so much fun! I cannot wait!! Anyway, at each clue spot on the hunt, there will be these small treat boxes with candy in them. Then, at the end, I am not sure what the grand prize will be. Any ideas for me? I also want to do some other outside games. I saw some cute potato sacks in the Oriental Trading Co. catalog. I think that will be fun. I am also thinking of making a pinata. We will not have our Easter celebration until the 15th because some of them will be at their dad's We have to do it when we can all get together! Plus, that gives me an extra week to get things planned and made!
I had one of my customers at work ask me to make a card for her parents anniversary. Man, was I nervous. She wouldn't tell me what colors or anything but she gave me a copy of their wedding picture she wanted me to use so this is what I came up with
the inside:
Not a good picture but it says
A successful marriage requires
falling in love many times,
Always with the same person.

Congratulations on 60 years!

She said they loved it and they said "it's a keeper"!
It must have been OK because the next week, she asked me to make a birthday card for her daughter in law.
This is getting pretty long. I have more pictures and projects, I can probably post every day this week now that I have this blogger thing figured out!!
Stop back tomorrow for my March Stampin Up haul!!
