1971 Flower girl page

Hello! Iam still working on the old pictures of me. I was the flower girl in my Aunts wedding in 1971. I believe it was March so that makes me about 3 1/2. I have been told that I refused to walk down the aisle so my Mom (the matron of honor) had to carry me!
I also think it is funny how styles have changed. Today, this dress would not be considered but I am sure it was totally in style back then!! I remember that dress pretty well. My mom kept it for a long time. She might still have it, I don't know. There was a light green ribbon across the chest so that is the color I started with for this page. Then, I decided it was too blah so I added the purple, then the orange flowers. I love all the flowers and the butterflies. Thisis the most embellished page I have ever done. I love the pages I see that other scrappers do that are just overwhelmingly beautiful with all the embellishments but I just can't seem to do that. It always seems like too much to me. Maybe I just need to go for it and pile it on!!
In scrapping all these pictures I have realized how my mom can not take good pictures!! EVERY single picture is off center or too far away or something. She always seems to think if she is taking a picture of a person, she has to get the whole body in!! Thank goodness she now has a digital camera!!
Thanks for looking and reading my ramblings!!

gift for my bride to be friend

OK- some friends of ours are getting married. They have been planning it for awhile and were just going to go to the court house and get married by a judge. They work different hours and are having a hard time putting it together. The groom DJ's on weekend and he has a show Friday night so he is having a judge come there and marry them! She doesn't know anything about it. I kinda feel sorry for her because it will be her wedding and she will probably be wearing jeans and a t shirt!!! No dress, no flowers! Ugh! I would be soooo mad if my husband had done this to me!! Anyway, I made these for them to wear that night so EVERYONE will know they got married!!
I am sure she will love them- don't know about him! But I am going to make him wear it!!

Easter 2011 Lay Out

This is what I have been working on today. When I was at my daughters last week, she gave me this picture of Lucas with the Easter Bunny. I think it is hilarious. He is just staring at him like he's thinking "What the heck is that?"
I just love that bunny on Simply Charmed. I did him light blue so he would look like a boy. And I matted the picture in dark purple. Easter colors are generally pastel and I wanted it to be more boyish.
Thanks for looking!

Look what my mailman brought me yesterday!!

I won a 3 month membership to the Cricut Circle!!
I won this from Robin at Robins Creative Cottage
She was one of the lucky ones to get the mothers day flowers from Provo Craft and she shared them!!
WooHoo! I cannot wait to try out the Circle!!
I have been so lucky lately winning items on blogs. That either means I spend too much time in blogland or that I am very lucky! I think it is the first one!!! I am not lucky enough to win the lottery!! If I was, I could buy whatever I wanted and would not be on blogland so much! I'd be shopping!! It is fun to DREAM!

Finally!! Blogger is working again!!

Wow! That was driving me nuts when blogger was down!! I really wanted to get this card posted for Mary's NSD challenge over at CardzTV.
I like it. I am thinking now that maybe  I should have put some twine under the buttons. Maybe I still will.                        Thanks for looking!!

craft room clean up!

After my wild crafting frenzy with all MPS challenges, I needed to do some clean up and organize some things in here! First I started with all my paper scraps. I had them in drawers. With 3 or 4 colors per drawer it was difficult to find the color I needed. So I sorted the all and put them in file folders. All the ones I didn't want I put in a box for my granddaughter.
That freed up some drawers for other stuff.

then I tackled the teo large jars of buttons! I seperated them by color and put them in baby food jars. Then I punched a colored circle and glued it on the lid so I'd know what color they were as I looked into the drawer.

I cleaned out the closet and put everything I am not going to use into an ebay box and the box for my granddaughter. Here is her box
Then I decided I needed to organize my cuttlebug folders. I got a .cut fiole from
she has lots of .cut files. Scroll down on the right side near the bottom.

I didn't ink them like she did but it was 1 am when I finished this so maybe I will do it later.
And, I have been saving larger cans from the recycling bin and I finally covered them in vinyl and am storing my most used items on the shelf above my desk.

I think I ned to label them so I don't have to stand up and look IN them to find what I want. Thursday was the last day I worked and tomorrow I have to go to the Dr. in Iowa City (3 hrs away) so that day is shot but I will be able to go to Michaels!! Yay!!Then it is back to work Thursday. I still have more to do. Why does it see like I make a bigger mess to clean this room? I am sure it will be all better when I am done!!
Thanks for looking!!

MPS challenge #8

This challenge theme was summer. We love to grill and have friends and family over for cook outs. I made this page knowing I will have pictures for it later!

MPS Challenge #7

This challenge was a scrapbook page. I decided to do another one from my pile of old photos of me. I actually used a page from the Immortal Love stack. I think it is so pretty.
And I didn't feel bad about using this paper cuz I didn't have to cut it!!! :)

this page came together very quickly. Probably because I am in crafting mode doing all these challenges today! I love that stamp and I thought it was perfect for this paper!!

MPS Challenge #6

Challenge #6 was to incorporate a tag into your project. Well, a tag IS my project. I like to make all my gift tags now that I have a cricut. This one was made with All Mixed Up. I will use it on my granddaughters birthday present.

MPS Challenge #5

OK so I am jumping around a little but I still haven't found that stamp!! I was so happy to see Karlee's video to do anything but a layout or a card. Something 3D. I have been wanting to try these out for my sons wedding. So here is my chance! We are going to need about 5 or 6 people to put these together cuz I think I am going to need atleast 50 of each!! Oh, that will be a fun girls day!!
I ordered a bunch of pearls for the dress almost 1 month ago and they haven't come yet. They will come from China so it takes a long time. I need to practice more on the groom but the bride was fairly simple to put together.

MPS challenge 1 & 2

Today s National Scrapbooking Day!! Lots of fun going on in blogland! I have 2 cards for the first two challenges at My Pink Stamper. The first one is cupcake
the second challenge is to ise kraft cardtock.

I messed up and stamped the first M&M upside down!! Oh, well! I got a late start this morning and I am trying to hurry and catch up!!
Challenge #3 is Breast Cancer awareness. I am looking for my ribbon stamp and i can't find it. I have loaned my Stand and Salute cartridge to someone so I can't use that. I will keep looking and be back later!!

Ugliest pants EVER!!!

Well, here is the page of my ugly polka dot pants! I L♥VED those ugly suckers when I was about 6 or 7. My mom would not let me wear them out in public! I argued and argued with her tho! Thanks, Mom, for not giving in!! I guess I got my payback when my Jason had those horrible purple and black, zebra print pants!!!
I like how this turned out. I know my reds don't match exactly but I like it!! The journaling says"Aren't these the ugliest pants EVER? I LOVED them! My mom would not let me wear them in public. 1974
So, are you sick of these old pictures of me yet? I don't have too many more but I am really enjoying all the memories scrapping these has brought back!!
Happy National Scrapbook Day!
Do something fun and creative today!!

My Holly Hobby dress-

I did another one!! This was some pictures of dresses my mom made for me when I was
about 7 or 8. I L♥VED this Holly Hobby dress!! I remember it vividly. It seemed like it took FOREVER for her to make. I was so anxious to wear it. That must have been about the time my love for Little House on the Prairie began!
I HATE my handwriting and almost always use the computer for journalling but for this one, I thought it needed a more personal touch.
I think this spool of thread is so cute. I used a real needle because I didn't want to cat a needle in silver paper that small.
and this is the tag for my mom! Sorry it is blurry. It is not in real life. I need a new camera!!!
Tomorrow I am going to do a LO from a picture of my favorite pants at age 8. My mom wouldn't let me wear them to school. They were but ugly but I LOVED em!!

Halloween 1978

I have been working on some more of my childhood pictures. This one was Halloween 1978. I wore a witch costume my mom sewed for me. It was really neat. I just LOVE how this one turnes out. All of the die cuts are from Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge. I don't know if it is such a great LO or if it is just the memories!! But that is what scrapbooking is all about, right?
I am having so much fun doing all these old pictures of me!!
Thanks for looking!

I love you s'more!

I saw this card on Linda's blog and I just fell in love. I knew it would be perfect for my granddaughter. We always say"I love you"
then "I love you more" to each other ans she loves when I mail her cards! She is 9 so I probably only have a few more years left of her not thinking it is lame! Anyway, here is my version.
I think it is pretty cute but you should check out Lindas on her blog!
she makes some really cute cards and every once in awhile, she posts a yummy recipe. I made the Peanut Butter Cheesecake Swirled Brownies.
They are super yummy!! So, I am blaming her when I don't lose weight in time for the wedding!!
