Happy Birthday, Cupcake!

I made this card for Marys Challenge on Cardz TV. The challenge was to make a cupcake project. Here is my card. I used the cupcake  from Rock Princess, a peachy keen face and glittered the icing and her boots.

I give up!!

I have been trying to organize and clean my room with Organization Boot Camp. It was going along pretty good until today I decided to make some Valentines cards~ I made 2- just 2 cards and this is what my desk looks like!!

I KNOW- it could be worse but I have to clean up all this crap just to drag it out again to make more cards!! Here is the two I made today. I have TONS of digital stamps and I thought I would try some. My coloring skills leave alot to be desired but I had fun coloring and that is what counts, right?

I need to make 8 more for the grandkids and 1 for my husband. I wonder how many times I will have to clean up that mess!?!

Tic Tac Toe board

This is the tic tac toe board I made for my granddaughters for Valentines Day. Totally copied from Diane at Capadia Designs. She also showed it on Everyday Cricut last week. I just loved hers and set off to make one. I don't have the Crative Charms vintage frames that she used but I just used two layers of chipboard and covered with a thick layer of Mod Podge. I think it turned out very cute and I am sure the girls will love it!

LUCKY ME!!

I am so happy right now, I think I am going out to buy a lottery ticket!! When checking all the blogs I follow, I found out that I won a gift certifacte from Crafts to Favor and a Cri-Kits gel pen set from Kricut Krazy!! Last week I won a Pagoda cartridge from TwoChicsandaCricut. I am so lucky on blog giveaways. I have only been following different blogs for about 1 1/2 years and I have won sooo much! Lots of different cartridges, paper packs and even a gypsy!! Although, when the gypsy arrived, I was completely broke and about to get my power shut off so it came in handy to sell. Now that I am slightly better off financially, I want another one. I really wish I had a Michaels around here because I hear that they are on clearance there for $49.99!! I mainly want it for the free download of Tags, bags, boxes and more. Since that cart is retired, it is VERY expensive to buy it anywhere- if you can find it.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my good luck with you. See, it does pay to leave a comment on blogs!!

*OMG! I just found out that I won another one! A brad setter from My Lil bits I entered on a blog hop!!**

Lost tools

So, I have spent all day cleaning and sorting through stuff in my craft room. I have lost my cricut spatula and my tweezers. They have to be in here because I never take anything out of this room!!! I am lost without them. The only thing I can think is that maybe they fell into the trash can!! I hope not! I know that as soon as I buy new ones, they will turn up!! (isn't that how it always goes?) Good thing Hobby Lobby has a 40% off coupon this week and I get my final check on Friday!!!
I also made more glue dots today. I love making my own. So much cheaper than buying them and I can do any size I want!
I need to cut and label some folders for my new carts. I also need some more photo boxes and I see that they are also on sale this week at Hobby Lobby. Woo Hoo!

More pages from Christmas 2010 scrapbook

Well, I got some more pages done. I think I need to take a break from it for awhile because I am feeling like I am just rushing through it to get it done and not doing quality work. But, anyway, here are some more pages. And by the way, the organizing boot camp is not going so well if you are working in the room too!!
This one is of Emma and Parker with those reindeer antler head bands on. I punched out little red circles and put them on their noses.

these two are just random pictures taken that night. I love the one with Emma and Papa. It looks like she is pointing and saying "hey! No pictures!!"

This is Kathys coat rack that she had her dad make for her. She will stain it to match her other furniture. It turned out really nice.

These two pages are people opening gifts. I have more pictures so I am going to need one or two more pages.

This one is just a quick showcase of the Thank You cards my grandkids made me for the buckets of crafting supplies I gave them.
Well, thats all for today. Did anyone see Diane's post on Everyday Cricut today? I love the tic tac toe board. That is what I am making the kids for Valentines day. I have it all designes in design studio, I will start cutting tomorrow. You can check it out here
Diane is so genious with design studio!! I love her work!

say "CHEESE"

I have been doing christmas layouts all week and I have to say, I AM SICK OF CHRISTMAS!! So, I decided to take a break from all things green and red. Even though these pictures were taken on Christmas Eve, I didn't do a traditional Christmas LO. This is my sweet (ha ha) 2 yr old grandson.

I need better lighting in here. My pictures never look very good. That is what I posted two pictures of the same thing. Just different lighting.
You can't tell in my crappy pictures but I used orange stickle on the word cheese. It looks much cuter IRL
Guess I'll be back to green and red tomorrow!!

Started my Christmas 2010 album

Since my seasonal job at Hobby Lobby is done, I have more time to craft. (just no money to buy supplies!!) i started on my Christmas album. I will probably have to buy some refills for it because I have TONS of pictures!
This is the title page. I cut the words on my cticut. I used Beyond Birthdays for Christmas and Base Camp for 2010. Then I ran them through my xyron and added glitter. The santa face was a digi stamp that I colored with pencils and I added white flock to his beard and moustache and the ball on his hat

For this event, I needed to make 3 pages. It is two of my daughters and my soon to be daughter in law and me baking and making candy.

These are when my grandkids came over to decorate the tree and we made glitter ornaments. You cannot tell in the picture but the string of lights actually lights up! That is what the white circle is for by the top of the tree. That is where you push to turn the lights on. It was a necklace that I bought at Hobby Lobby with this page in mind.

This is my daughter with the Twilight box I made her. I have MANY more pages to go but I am loving the start!
I will post more as I get them done!!!

My first Valentines project!!

I was shopping at Dollar Tree yesterday (my favorite cheap store) and they have some really pretty Valentines stuff. I got this vase, the flower bunches and the heart picks there. The only thing I added from my stashwas the tissue paper. Oh, and the ribbon was 90% off at Hobby Lobby.
I need to play with the flowers some more and I am thinking about adding some red and pink glitter into the vase. What do you think?
I found out yesterday that next week with be the last week of my seasonal job at Hobby Lobby. I am bummed. I love this job and was hoping it would become permanent. I need a way to support my crafting addiction!! In the meantime (until I become independantly wealthy), I am going to use the products and supplies I already have. I also have about 80 cricut cartridges that I can use! So, my posts from now on will be "crafting on a budget"!

I wasn't completely forthcoming!

OK- I have got comments saying my scrap space wasn't that bad. Well, I have to admit- that was just a tiny part of it!!! So here are some more pictures! (I am hanging my head in shame!)
YUCK!!!!!!

Another corner where things just get shoved!

t5his is the corner whare I keep all my scraps and empty boxes for chip board

the shelves were I stuff everything

All 6 of the drawers in this unit are filled with ribbon I have taken off the spool and wound around cardboard. One is full of scraps and any new ribbon just gets thrown on top until it is used! Ugh! What a mess this room is, I need to learn to put things back in their home when I am done. It could possibly be clean all the time if I would do that!!
Well, hopefully after Boot Camp, I will have (and keep) things more organized!!

Boot Camp

I am following Scrappily Eber Afters Boot camp. Today we wewre supposed to take a picture of our scrap area. This is part of mine. Probably the messiest part, right now
Hopefully, I can get cleaned and organized!!
